The church exists to worship God, who exists as the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We worship Him as the church gathered physically by engaging our minds and emotions. When together, we emphasize congregational singing over performance. We pray as an expression of our dependence. We celebrate God's work in the lives of people. We view preaching as worship, and expect the presence of God's Spirit to work in our midst as we gather. As we go out we offer our lives in worship to God.
Biblical and theological knowledge drives the transformation of our emotions and mind. We are committed to clear and accurate communication of God's Word through biblically-rich preaching, bible studies, small groups, and one-on-one discipleship. We then take our knowledge and model the Christian life toward others, inviting others to imitate us as we imitate Christ, teaching them to obey all that Christ has commanded.
We purposefully pursue being a multi-generational church, filled with people from all ages and stages of life. The richness of this community and gifting allows for meaningful discipleship and friendships with people across a wide variety of ages and backgrounds.
We have a focused ministry on people struggling with unhealthy addictions and patterns that impact them and those around them. Our church welcomes people who struggle and walks with them on the long road to recovery.
Our church gathers outside of corporate worship in small groups for the purpose of growing together in Christ, mutually meeting needs, and living on mission together. We value organic missional community rather than staff-led programs. Relationships and friendships are what propel relational discipleship and transformation.
Parents are the primary disciple makers of their children, and the church community comes alongside parents to provide trusted voices in the lives of their children to eventually unleash them on the world as faithful followers of Jesus Christ.
We live out our faith in the context of our vocations. We don't tell people to come to church to "do ministry and serve" but instead embrace God's mission and its demand on us to be followers of Christ in whatever we are doing. The church equips people to be intentional witnesses of the gospel to those around them.
We share our possessions and property with each other, the community, and other ministries. We practice holistic generosity through work, hospitality, our time, and our wealth.
We are serious about the gospel being ministered in word and deed. We make a concerted effort to focus our energy on acts of mercy and pursuing justice. We express mercy by meeting people's physical needs. We pursue justice through using wealth and power to advocate for people who do not have the power to speak for themselves.
We equip people who want to serve short, mid, long-term to make the disciples of the nations. We send thoughtful and trained followers of Christ into cross-cultural settings in order to make disciples in places far away.
We develop and multiply leaders, preparing men and women to be effective leaders in the church. Our residency program is for those who wish to serve in churches. Shorter internships for those exploring ministry.
We have a special focus on leaders who are burnt out or have disqualified themselves from ministry positions, ministering to them and their families. We offer intensive counseling and help to leaders be made whole again.
